In Torre de Moncorvo:
Igreja Matriz de Torre de Moncorvo.
Iron Museum and of the Region of Moncorvo – The museum is in the Manor of the Baron of Palme, a simple outline building with porch balcony and exterior staircase.
It has a horticultural space and garden, which unfolds into a slope with various terraces, and a pavilion for cultural activities.
This museum is dedicated to the region’s archaeology and to the history of the exploitation of Moncorvo’s iron from ancient times until today.
Filipino Fountain – The Filipino fountain dates back to 1636 and was built in front of the staircase that connects the Praça Francisco Meireles to the Largo do Castelo. In the 19th century it was taken to pieces, being only left the bowl and the base which covers it where one can read: "FEITO NO ANO DO SENHOR DE 1636 POR ORDEM DE DOUTOR JULIÃO DE FIGUEIREDO, PROVEDOR E CONTADOR NESTA COMARCA, À CUSTA DO POVO".
Santo António Fountain – A Fountain from the 16th century, it displays the old municipal heraldry crowned with volute pediment, having the date 1704 in the centre which corresponds to a later restoration.
Manor of the Pimenteis – A building from the 18th century with Baroque façade, it belonged to the Oliveira Pimentel family. It is about to be classified as Building of Public Interest.
Manor of Sto. António and adjoining Field – An 18th century building with simple outline. It has an adjoining site that belonged to a vast Estate. It includes the Chapel of Santo António. Presently in re-evaluation process for its classification as Building of Public Interest.
Town Hall – A Neoclassical 19th century building. It displays the municipal heraldry on the façade. Here one can find some of the Municipal Council’s services.
Castle of Torre de Moncorvo – The building of this castle was ordered by D. Dinis in the 13th – 14th centuries. There are still ruins of its structure such as the door on the East, still intact and some curtain walls which surrounded the old village. Presently in re-evaluation process for its classification as Building of Public Interest by Decree no. 40361 of 20/10/1955.
Chapel of Espírito Santo – This is a fine example of a Baroque building from the 18th century. It presents a façade with a panel door and displays the coat of arms of D. Manuel and the date of 1727. Inside there’s an opulent golden carved altar.
Chapel of Nossa Senhora dos Remédios – The Chapel of Nossa senhora dos Remédios was built in the 17th century on top of the arch of the Eastern door of the old medieval village of Torre de Moncorvo.
Inside there’s a golden carved altar which has a niche in the centre with the image of Our Lady of Remedies.
Parish Church – Its building started on the first half of the 16th century and it took nearly a century to be constructed. The beautiful Renaissance portico on the façade is worthy of notice. In its interior the ashlar work, the images and the retables stand out. It is classified as National Monument by Decree no. 16/6/1910.
Chapel of Santo António – Na 18th century Chapel integrated in the Manor of the Carvalho e Castro family. It displays the date of 1490 on the façade. Inside there’s a false barrel vault in panelled ceiling painted with the scenes of Saint Anthony’s life and still lifes. It is classified as Building of Public Interest by Decree no. 95/78, of 12/09.
Pillory of Torre de Moncorvo – Typical Pillory of the Manueline period, there are only two ornamented granite elements classified as Building of Public Interest by Decree no. 23122, of 11/10/1933.
Chapel of Sagrado Coração de Jesus – This Chapel belonged to the old manor (already demolished) of the Carneiro Vasconcelos family. It has assets of great artistic value inside: retables, organ and mural paintings. It is classified as Building of Public Interest by Decree no. 28/82, of 26/02.
Church of Misericórdia – Building with Cinquecentist outline. It displays a Renaissance portal on the façade, with two busts, niche and pediment, surmounted by two eye windows and belfry. Inside there’s a beautiful Baroque retable, furniture and images. It also has a polygonal granite pulpit, with renaissant characteristics, which is compared with another one in Santa Cruz de Coimbra. It is classified as Building of Public Interest by Decree no. 129/77, of 29/09.
Chapel of Nossa senhora dos Prazeres – This chapel dates back to 1714 and ins included in the Manor of Vasconcelos and is classified as Building of Public Interest by Decree no. 95/78, of 12/09.
